Shirley G. Felix
President, Bankers Institute of the Philippines (BAIPHIL)
She has served the organization in various capacities, including committee chairperson, member of the board of trustees, and member of the Executive Committee. In these roles, she has contributed significantly to BAIPHIL’s programs, initiatives, and governance.
As President, she provides strategic direction in advancing BAIPHIL’s mission of supporting the banking industry through advocacy for good governance and the enhancement of institutional capability via continuing education, research, and information exchange.
Under her helm, BAIPHIL champions the pillars of R.I.S.E., promoting resilience in institutions, inclusivity across the broader banking community and the general public, sustainability in both learning and advocacy, and continuing partnership and stakeholder engagement.
Beyond her leadership in BAIPHIL, Ms. Felix serves as Vice President for the Loans Management Group at the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC), the government agency mandated to insure bank deposits. She brings valuable practical insights in leading BAIPHIL, drawn from her extensive professional experience.
Through her dual roles at BAIPHIL and PDIC, Ms. Felix exemplifies a strong commitment to public service and professional excellence.
